Collected: Spring, 2005 5 km off of Assateague Is. Virginia just above the bottom in 8-9 m depths using an epibenthic sled (363 micrometer mesh).

Notes: This larva may be the silver perch Bairdiella chrysoura. There are many similar larvae in the drum family (Sciaenidae) common in the nearshore plankton.
