Caught using an epibenthic sled fitted with a plankton net (363 micrometer Mesh) pulled by hand in the surf zone just behind the breakers.

Notes
These amphipods are the dominant animals collected in the surf zone Along the mid-Atlantic coastline but are not found just 100m farther out.
