New and unusual zooplankton.

The emphasis is on species and/or life stages not typically encountered in nearshore plankton. This will include some visitors from offshore waters, some species more typical of fresh waters, rare species, and less common life stages of common species.

Location: 100 km offshore from Barnegat, NJ. Depths of >200 meters.

Depth: ~200m

Date:Summer 2009.

Gear: Caught while drifting a plankton net (363 micrometer mesh) from the back of a boat at night.
